Document: Customer Referral Program Terms (addendum to the CrewBadger Terms of Service)
Version: 1.0
Effective: 2026-10-15
1. What this is. These Terms govern the Customer Referral Program ("Program"). They are part of, and governed by, the CrewBadger Terms of Service ("ToS"), including its dispute-resolution and governing-law terms. "You" means the CrewBadger customer organization that accepts these Terms through the "Refer a business" feature. The person who accepts these Terms confirms that they are authorized to do so for the customer organization. If these Terms conflict with the ToS, these Terms control for the Program only.
2. Reward. For each Qualified Referral, CrewBadger credits You one free month of Your then-current base subscription plan ("Free Month"). A Qualified Referral is a business that (a) did not have an active paid CrewBadger subscription at any time in the 12 months before its first paid charge, whether under the same account, the same owner or email address, the same payment card or the same business, and is not owned or controlled by, or under common ownership with, You, (b) signs up using Your referral link or code, and (c) completes its first paid charge after any trial, which charge is not refunded, charged back or cancelled within 90 days. A free partner plan or a demo workspace does not count as a paid subscription under (a). We check (a) against our records. Those records belong to the referred business, so we tell You only that a referral did not qualify, not why. You can ask us to recheck a referral under §5A. Free Months are banked (granted minus applied), up to 12 banked Free Months at a time; a referral that converts while Your bank is full earns nothing and is not deferred.
2A. What the referred business gets. A business that signs up with Your referral link or code and is a Qualified Referral gets one Free Month on its own subscription, added after it pays for its first month. A business gets this only once. It gets its Free Month even if Your bank is full. The referred business receives its Free Month under the referral-offer terms in the CrewBadger Terms of Service, which it accepts when it signs up; these Terms do not bind the referred business. CrewBadger declines or takes back the referred business's Free Month for a breach of these Terms only if that business itself took part in the breach or is not a genuine separate business (for example, a fake account or Your own business). A breach by You alone never costs the referred business its Free Month.
3. How Free Months are applied. On a monthly plan, one banked Free Month is applied to each base-plan invoice in turn. On an annual plan, banked Free Months are converted to an account credit at the annual price in effect when they are applied. Free Months apply to the base plan only, not to seats, add-ons, taxes or one-time fees. A promotion code on the same invoice is applied first and the Free Month waits.
4. No cash value. Free Months are a reduction in the price You pay us for Your subscription. They are applied only against Your subscription invoices, have no cash value, cannot be paid out, refunded, transferred, exchanged, sold or combined with another account, and are forfeited when Your subscription ends for any reason. CrewBadger does not pay cash under this Program.
5. Honest referrals. You may not:
(a) refer Yourself, a business You own or control, or a business You create to collect Free Months;
(b) bid on CrewBadger or a misspelling of it in paid search, or put CrewBadger in the text of a paid ad;
(c) post Your link or code on coupon, voucher, deal or cash-back sites, or anywhere on Reddit (in posts, comments or chats). This rule is about Your link and code only; You may talk about CrewBadger anywhere;
(d) pay anyone, or give them anything of value, to sign up (the Free Month the referred business gets under §2A is the only exception);
(e) use bots, scripts, fake accounts or paid sign-up services;
(f) send Your link to people You do not know, to bought or scraped lists, or in bulk or automated messages, or keep messaging anyone who has asked You to stop; or
(g) make false or misleading claims about CrewBadger, or promise results, savings, income or prices that CrewBadger has not published. Your honest opinion and Your own experience are always fine.
Whenever You share Your link or code, including in a direct message, text or email, or recommend CrewBadger publicly (for example in a social post or review), You must say that You get a free month for referrals. Say it in the same post or message, in plain words and in the same language as the rest of the message (for example: "I get a free month if you sign up with my link"). The pre-filled share message already says this; do not remove it. We never pay or reward You for the content or rating of a review, and nothing in these Terms limits Your honest opinion or review of CrewBadger.
5A. If the rules are broken. If a referral did not meet §2, or CrewBadger reasonably believes, after reviewing the evidence available to it, that You broke §5, CrewBadger may do one or more of these:
(a) Refuse Your Free Month for that referral.
(b) Cancel any of Your Free Months from that referral that have not yet been applied to an invoice, even if they were already approved or banked, and however long ago they were earned.
(c) If a Free Month of Yours from that referral has already been applied to Your invoice, cancel the same number of Free Months that You earn later.
(d) Remove You from the Program. If we remove You because You knowingly broke §5(a), (d) or (e) (referring Yourself, paying for sign-ups, or using bots, fake accounts or paid sign-up services), all of Your banked Free Months are cancelled when we remove You. Otherwise, You keep banked Free Months from referrals that did not break the rules, and §7 applies to them.
This §5A reaches the referred business's Free Month only as §2A allows. CrewBadger never charges You money for a Free Month.
We will email You what we found, why, and which Free Months are affected. You may ask us to review the decision, or a referral that we told You did not qualify under §2, by replying within 30 days of that email or notice. Someone who did not make the decision will review it, and we will tell You the result within 30 days of Your request. While a review is open, the affected Free Months are held: they are neither applied nor cancelled. If we change our decision, we restore the Free Months involved. This section does not limit Your rights under the ToS, or CrewBadger's other rights under the ToS or the law in a case of fraud.
6. Taxes. We treat Free Months as a price adjustment on Your purchases from us, not as a payment to You, and we do not issue tax forms for them. You are responsible for Your own tax treatment and should consult Your adviser. If the law ever requires us to report a Free Month, we will tell You and may ask for a taxpayer identification form before applying further Free Months.
7. Changes and end of Program. CrewBadger may change or end the Program on 30 days' notice in the app or by email. A change applies only to referrals that sign up after it takes effect, and never reduces Free Months already banked. Free Months already banked remain usable for 12 months after the Program ends, unless cancelled under §5A.
8. Privacy. The referred business's sign-up and subscription status are shared with You only as "referral converted" / "not converted". CrewBadger's referral platform processes Your organization's name, contact email and referral activity under the CrewBadger Privacy Policy. To apply §2(a), CrewBadger keeps, for every paid CrewBadger subscription, coded (keyed-hash) records of the owner's email address and email domain, the billing customer reference and the payment card's fingerprint (never the card number). These coded records are pseudonymous personal information, and CrewBadger treats them as personal information. They are deleted within 13 months after the end of the last period the subscription paid for, are kept until then even if the account is deleted, and are used only to check referral eligibility, as described in the CrewBadger Privacy Policy. The referral platform, and You, are told only whether a referral qualified.
