Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 17, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how JKP Group LLC (“CrewBadger,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the CrewBadger platform (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information in the following categories:

  • Account information: name, email, phone, business name, and login credentials.
  • Business information: legal entity details, EIN, physical address, and authorized representatives — used for carrier registration and payment processor onboarding.
  • Customer Data: information you enter about your own customers (names, phone numbers, addresses, service history, photos, equipment details).
  • Payment information: processed securely by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage information: pages visited, features used, device and browser data, IP address, and timestamps.
  • Communication metadata: records of SMS and email messages sent through the Service, including delivery status and opt-out events.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Service
  • Process payments and prevent fraud
  • Send transactional messages about your account and service
  • Enable your outbound communications to your own customers
  • Comply with legal obligations (including carrier and tax compliance)
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent security incidents and abuse
  • Send product updates and service announcements (you can opt out anytime)

3. SMS Messaging and Consent

CrewBadger enables subscribing businesses to send SMS messages to their own customers. This section applies to those messages, which may include appointment reminders, on-the-way alerts, review requests, payment links, and related transactional communications.

By providing your phone number to a business using CrewBadger, you are consenting to receive SMS messages from that business about your service appointment.

Messages are transactional in nature and frequency varies based on the lifecycle of your service. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency depends on your interactions with the business.

Opt-out: You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation and will not receive further non-emergency messages from that business.

Help: Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact the business directly.

Message frequency:You may receive up to 5 SMS messages per service appointment, including appointment confirmation, technician dispatch notification, on-the-way alert, review request, and payment link. Actual frequency depends on the services performed and the business’s workflow.

How you consent:You provide consent to receive SMS messages when you (a) submit your phone number through a business’s online booking page and check the consent checkbox, (b) provide your phone number verbally during a phone call with the business, or (c) provide your phone number in person to a technician or office staff. In each case, you are informed that you may receive text messages related to your service.

SMS consent is not a condition of purchase. You are not required to consent to receiving text messages in order to purchase any goods or services from a business using CrewBadger.

TCPA compliance: All SMS messaging through the CrewBadger platform is conducted in compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), including maintaining prior express consent records, honoring opt-out requests immediately, and restricting message delivery to permissible hours.

Carrier liability:Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier and plan. CrewBadger works with all major US wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others.

We will not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Phone numbers collected through the Service are used solely for delivering transactional messages related to your service appointment.

Phone numbers, consent records, and opt-out status are stored for the purpose of honoring your preferences and for carrier compliance (A2P 10DLC). We do not sell, share, or disclose phone numbers or SMS content to any third party for marketing or promotional purposes.

4. Artificial Intelligence Features

CrewBadger uses artificial intelligence to help businesses work more efficiently. This section describes how AI is used in the Service and how your data is handled in connection with those features.

What AI does in CrewBadger:

  • Proposal summaries: AI generates plain-language summaries of work proposals so customers can quickly understand what is being recommended.
  • Service descriptions: AI assists businesses in writing clear descriptions for services in their price book.
  • Business insights: AI analyzes aggregated job data to surface trends and performance metrics for business owners.
  • Service triage: AI helps categorize and prioritize incoming service requests based on the description provided.

How AI processes data:When an AI feature is used, relevant Customer Data (such as service descriptions, equipment details, or job notes) is sent to our AI provider to generate suggestions, summaries, or recommendations. This processing happens on demand — only when a user actively triggers an AI feature.

We do not use end-customer personally identifiable information (PII) to train AI models. Your name, phone number, address, and other personal details are not used as training data for any machine-learning model. Period.

Aggregated, de-identified data (for example, common service categories or typical job durations across all businesses) may be used to improve AI suggestions over time. This data cannot be traced back to any individual customer or business.

Human review before sharing: AI-generated content (summaries, descriptions, recommendations) is always presented to the business user for review and editing before it is shared with any customer. AI never sends messages or makes decisions autonomously.

Your rights regarding AI processing:

  • You may request that your data be excluded from AI processing by contacting us at hello@crewbadger.com.
  • You may request exclusion of your data from any model training or improvement activities.
  • If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have the right not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing under GDPR Article 22. CrewBadger does not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects — AI features are advisory tools that assist human decision-making.

5. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We share information only in the following limited cases:

  • Service providers that help us operate the Service, including Stripe (payments), Twilio (SMS), Resend (email), Supabase (database hosting), Cloudflare (file storage), Sentry (error monitoring), and Google (maps and calendar). These providers are contractually required to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
  • Legal requirements if disclosure is required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
  • Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

6. Google API Services

CrewBadger integrates with Google Calendar so technicians can keep their work schedule and personal schedule in sync. This section describes how we access, use, store, and share information obtained through Google APIs, in accordance with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Scopes we request

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar— used to create a dedicated “CrewBadger” calendar in the technician’s Google account where job events are written, and to read availability from the technician’s primary calendar so the dispatch board does not double-book them.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events — used to create, update, and remove specific job events (containing the customer name, service address, job type, and a deep link back into CrewBadger) on the dedicated calendar.

Each technician individually authorizes Google Calendar access from Settings → Google Calendar inside the CrewBadger dashboard. Owners and dispatchers cannot connect or disconnect Google Calendar on behalf of another user.

How we use Google user data

  • Write scheduled job events to the dedicated CrewBadger calendar so the technician can see them alongside their other commitments.
  • Read busy/free blocks from the technician’s primary calendar so the dispatch board respects existing personal obligations.
  • Subscribe to Google Calendar change notifications so updates to the primary calendar are reflected promptly in technician availability.

Limited Use disclosure

CrewBadger’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically:

  • We do not use Google user data for advertising.
  • We do not sell Google user data.
  • We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as necessary to provide or improve user-facing features that are prominent in the CrewBadger application.
  • We do not allow humans (including CrewBadger employees) to read Google user data except (a) with the user’s explicit consent for a specific event, (b) for security purposes such as investigating abuse, (c) to comply with applicable law, or (d) for internal operations where the data has been aggregated and anonymized.
  • We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized or non-personalized AI or machine-learning models.

Retention, deletion, and revocation

A technician can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from Settings → Google Calendar inside CrewBadger. On disconnect we immediately stop syncing and delete the stored OAuth refresh token. Job events previously written to the technician’s calendar remain in their Google account until the technician deletes them or removes the dedicated CrewBadger calendar.

A technician can also revoke CrewBadger’s access at any time from their Google Account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive data, row-level security at the database, and scoped API keys for third-party integrations. No system is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. Customer Data is retained based on your business’s needs and applicable retention policies. You may request export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@crewbadger.com. Some information (billing records, compliance logs) may be retained longer where required by law.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to receive your information in a portable format. To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@crewbadger.com.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what personal information we collect and the right to request deletion, which can be exercised through the same contact email above.

10. Children’s Privacy

CrewBadger is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. International Users

CrewBadger is operated from the United States and its territories. If you access the Service from outside the US, your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your home country.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes we will notify you by email or through the Service prior to the changes taking effect.
